Sacred Spaciousness—Summer 2025 Plans

This weekend, as the temperatures hit triple digits, I could feel something else heating up inside of me—an inner knowing that I was unwilling to face, and maybe even actively trying to ignore.

After a busy weekend I was so looking forward to attending a restorative yoga and sound bath class. A chance to exhale, restore and reconnect—maybe even to face my inner knowing and get clarity. And an opportunity to restore and reset so I could write a long post for Substack.

I got into the car at exactly 2:08pm with my journey timed down to the exact minute (Mums, I know you will understand the planning involved to do something for yourself, especially during the weekend which is usually family time).

Our car shuddered and jolted. It wouldn’t start. I ran back into the house where my husband had just gone down for a nap with the baby and stirred him to come to my rescue so I could make my class.

The long and the short is—we had a dead battery. And while I could have grabbed an Uber to my class, it was getting too late and I was also hearing the message loud and clear from the Universe.

Stop, slow down—the dead battery is a message and metaphor for your life.

Needless to say, I didn’t make my class. However, as we waited for our roadside service to come install a new battery, I did get the chance to: exhale, reconnect to my inner knowing, and gain clarity.

And that, in turn, has allowed me a bigger opportunity to restore and reset for the months ahead, welcoming a summer of sacred spaciousness.
